Guaifen Pse Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guaifen Pse: Take this drug by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. don't increase the dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Guaifen Pse side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first several days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Guaifen Pse Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with some your pharmacist. It's not known if it tablet appears in breast milk; consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Guaifen Pse drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell your pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Guaifen Pse Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Guaifen Pse special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Guaifen Pse dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Guaifen Pse Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
