Senna Lax Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives are used to treat constipation & to clear intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Senna Lax: Take each dose with full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug. Chewable pills are to be chewed thoroughly. pills to be swallowed whole with full glass of water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Senna Lax side effects: this medication may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. it medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. It's not harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Senna Lax Precautions: Tell you're physician your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives an alternative. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. Consult your pharmacist before using any pill while breast-feeding.
Senna Lax med interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption of several drugs, it is important to tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid use of dairy products or antacids within one hour about taking bisacodyl tablets. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Senna Lax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss about appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Senna Lax special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to six eight ounce glasses a day), increase your intake of fiber & roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Senna Lax dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if this is near the time since next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
