Fenesin Usage: this drug is used to relieve a dry cough and helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Fenesin: Take each dose of this medication with full glass about water. Water will also help break-up mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty about fluids while taking this med, unless youre pharmacist instructs you otherwise. do not take this tablet for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult your healthcare professional.
Fenesin side effects: this med can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Fenesin Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult youre doctor before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It's not known if it tablet is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Fenesin drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about all the medicines you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure youre caregivers aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Fenesin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.
Fenesin special notes: this medication comes in variety of dose forms such as tablets, capsules, long acting tablets or capsules & syrup. Ask some your physician or pharmacist to recommend the best product for you.
If you missed Fenesin dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Fenesin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom. don't freeze liquid forms of this medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
