Vancocin HCL Usage: this med is an antibiotic used to treat infections.

How to use Vancocin HCL: Take it med by mouth as directed usually three to 4 times day for 7 to 10 days. for best results, take each dose at evenly spaced intervals around the clock. this will ensure constant level of pill in your blood. Take this med for full clock prescribed. do not stop taking it with out your doctor's approval. Stopping therapy too soon may result in a reinfection.

Vancocin HCL side effects: Indigestion or stomach ache may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify youre pharmacist if you develop: dizziness, difficulty hearing, fever or chills. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or doctor.

Vancocin HCL Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, hearing problems, stomach/intestinal problems, allergies (especially tablet allergies). Vancomycin should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. this drug is excreted into breast milk. Because the effect on nursing infant is unknown, consult some your healthcare professional before you breast feed.

Vancocin HCL drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription meds you use, including: aminoglycosides (e.g., gentamicin, neomycin), amphotericin B, other antibiotics, live vaccines. If you will be undergoing treatment requiring anesthesia, tell doctor/dentist you have been using vancomycin. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.

Vancocin HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Vancocin HCL special notes: this drug has been prescribed for some your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different drug may be necessary in those cases.

If you missed Vancocin HCL dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if Its near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Vancocin HCL Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
