Lonox Usage: this drug is used to relieve diarrhea.
How to use Lonox: Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take it more many times than prescribed. Shake liquid preparations well before using. If diarrhea isn't relieved in several days, notify you're doctor.
Lonox side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, bloating or loss of appetite may occur as your body adjusts to the tablet. Inform youre healthcare professional if you experience: abdominal pain, skin rash. at unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Lonox Precautions: Before using it drug, tell your physician your medical history especially of: chronic lung disease, colitis, liver disease, alcohol use, any drug allergies. Use caution when performing tasks requiring mental alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol use because it may intensify drowsiness & dizziness effects of this drug. Before surgery, including dental surgery, tell doctor that you are taking this drug. Diphenoxylate canbe habit-forming. Stopping drug suddenly after taking high doses or after taking it over a long time may cause withdrawal. Symptoms of withdrawal include muscle & stomach cramps, unusual sweating, nausea and vomiting, and shaking or trembling. this tablet should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. this drug is excreted into breast milk. Though, to date, no problems have been noted in nursing infants, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding,
Lonox drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic cough or pain relievers (e.g., codeine), sleeping pills, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Lonox Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include initially dryness about skin & mucous membranes, restlessness, flushing, rapid heart, followed by lethargy, coma, pinpoint pupils, & slowed breathing.
Lonox special notes: do not allow anyone else to take it med.
If you missed Lonox dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Lonox Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this tablet. Follow label warnings regarding whether or not to refrigerate. Keep out about reach of children.
