Eye lubricant - ophthalmic

Systane Usage: this tablet is used to relieve dry, irritated eyes.

How to use Systane: Use it tablet in eye as directed. To apply eye ointment/drops: Wash hands 1-st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or top of the ointment tube or let it touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. for drops, place the dropper directly over the eye & administer the prescribed number of drops. look downward and gently close your eye since 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner about the eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure. it will prevent the medication from draining away from eye. for ointment, hold tube directly over eye and gently squeeze small ribbon of the ointment into eye. Slowly roll youre eye in every directions to spread ointment. Try not to blink & do not rub the eye. do not rinse dropper. Wash hands after use. If you using other eye medicines, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications.

Systane side effects: this drug may temporarily sting your eyes when first applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome or the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve within several days, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily unstable for a few minutes after applying this. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: a skin rash, itching, eye pain or redness in or around eyes, headache. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Systane Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: another illnesses, any allergies. Tell you're physician if you are pregnant before using this drug. Though, to date, no problems have been noted at nursing infants, consult youre pharmacist before you breast-feed.

Systane medication interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may use, especially about: other eye drug. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Systane Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Systane special notes: few products contain preservatives which can cause irritation in persons with allergies or damage soft contact lenses. Discuss the various products with your health care professional.

If you missed Systane dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; don't use it if it is near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Systane Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. Discard this if solution is not clear or colorless. Close cap tightly after each use.
