Bacitracin Polymyxin Usage: this med is a combination antibiotic used on the skin to treat an infection.
How to use Bacitracin Polymyxin: this medication is for topical use only. Clean & dry affected area as directed. then apply little bit of med on the skin. thin layer is all that is needed. Cover with a bandage if directed to do so. do not use large amounts, apply it more often or use this for longer period than directed. you're condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased. Use carefully if applying to face. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth.
Bacitracin Polymyxin side effects: this medication may cause burning, redness, or a rash. Notify you're physician if you develop any about these symptoms. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or pharmacist.
Bacitracin Polymyxin Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: other illnesses, an infection, allergies (especially to antibiotics). this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. it isnt known if it medication is found in breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Bacitracin Polymyxin drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may use, including: another skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Bacitracin Polymyxin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Bacitracin Polymyxin special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after some days, notify your pharmacist.
If you missed Bacitracin Polymyxin dose: If you miss dose, apply this as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near the time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Bacitracin Polymyxin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. money expiration date on the tube & discard any expired medication.
