Tropicamide - ophth

Tropicacyl Usage: this medication is used to dilate the eye for eye exams, or to treat certain eye conditions.
How to use Tropicacyl: this pill is for use in the eye. One or two drops placed in eyes 15 minutes or so prior to examination. Additional drops may be necessary to achieve the desired effect for an eye examination. When used to treat eye conditions, use as directed by youre prescriber for full course of treatment. After application about the drops, apply pressure to the side about the nose where tear duct is with your finger for 1 to 3 minutes to prevent absorption into body.
Tropicacyl side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your eye for a minute when 1st applied. If it continues or becomes bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for a several minutes after applying eye drops. Because this drug dilates eye, your eyes will be sensitive to light. Wear sun glasses & avoid bright lights until effect is over. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify some your doctor if you develop: skin rash, eye pain, swelling in or around eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Tropicacyl Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: glaucoma, other illnesses, any allergies. it drug must be used cautiously in elderly. it drug should be used with caution during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician.
Tropicacyl drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you use, including: other eye medicine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Tropicacyl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Tropicacyl special notes: effect of it med is greatest within about 30 minutes after application. it may take a few hours since the effects to totally disappear.
If you missed Tropicacyl dose: it drug is not for routine use.
Tropicacyl Storage: Close the container tightly after each use. Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not refrigerate. Discard this if the solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
