Longs Hydrocortisone Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching about skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Longs Hydrocortisone: Clean & dry affected area before applying the tablet. To apply, gently massage very small amount bit of drug into the affected area and surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on kid being treated with it medication at diaper area. Avoid using this medication around the eyes unless directed to do so by some your doctor.
Longs Hydrocortisone side effects: it medication may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to the skin. this should disappear at few days as you're body adjusts to medication. this medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. Skin infections can become worse when using this pill. Notify your healthcare professional if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Longs Hydrocortisone Precautions: do not use this medication near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond 2 weeks consecutively is not recommended. do not use if their is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. it is especially true for children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult youre doctor or physician for more following text. this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits and risks with your doctor. Small amounts of it medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Longs Hydrocortisone medication interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional of every tablets you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Longs Hydrocortisone Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Longs Hydrocortisone special notes: Inform all your physicians you use (or have used) this medication. do not share it pill with others.
If you missed Longs Hydrocortisone dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Longs Hydrocortisone Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
