Flutuss HC Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. it combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Flutuss HC: Take it drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase some your dose or take it more often than directed. it drug is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.
Flutuss HC side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Flutuss HC Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history about medication dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug causes you to feel drowsy. money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Flutuss HC medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure tablets, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain med (e.g., codeine). Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. don't start or stop any medicine with out physician or healthcare professional approval.
Flutuss HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
Flutuss HC special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Flutuss HC dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near the time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Flutuss HC Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom.
