Protuss D Usage: this combination medication is used to treat dry cough & nasal congestion caused by the common cold, flu, or other respiratory illness as determined by your doctor. An expectorant loosens mucus in lungs, while decongestant works to relieve nasal congestion. a low dose about narcotic cough suppressant works directly on brain to decrease urge to cough.
How to use Protuss D: Use this medication exactly as prescribed. do not increase your dose, take this more frequently or use it for longer period of time than prescribed because this medication can be habit-forming. If using it drug for an extended period of clock, don't suddenly stop using this drug without consulting youre doctor. Unless otherwise directed by you're pharmacist, drink plenty of fluids when you use it med. fluid will help loosen phlegm/mucous in your breathing passages. If some your condition persists or worsens, be sure to contact your doctor or doctor.
Protuss D side effects: Nausea, nervousness or anxiety, headache, dizziness, drowsiness or trouble sleeping, vomiting, or constipation may may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: chest pain, rapid or pounding heartbeat, painful or difficult urination, tremors, mental/mood changes, slow or difficult breathing, seizure. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if this occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Protuss D Precautions: this medication shouldnot be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult some your physician or healthcare professional if you have: uncontrolled severe HBP, severe heart blood vessel disease (severe coronary artery disease), previous allergic reaction to codeine, hydrocodone or related med. Before using this medication, tell some your doctor or pharmacist you're medical history, especially of: heart problems (e.g., cardiac arrhythmias), kidney disease, liver disease, lung problems (e.g., emphysema, asthma), high blood pressure, thyroid disease (e.g., hyperthyroidism), diabetes, glaucoma, prostate problems, recent head injury, depression, seizures, history of drug abuse or dependency, any allergies. this drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the pill, especially drowsiness & effect on heart. it med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. at least one ingredient in this product is known to be excreted in breast milk. Breast-feeding isnt recommended while taking it drug.
Protuss D drug interactions: Avoid taking MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) while using this med or within two weeks (before or after) about treatment with it medication. in few cases serious, possibly fatal, med interaction may occur. If you are currently using any of these medications, tell your physician or pharmacist before starting this medication. Before using this med, tell your pharmacist or healthcare professional of every prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: blood pressure drugs (e.g., diuretics, veratrum alkaloids), antidepressants (e.g., tricyclics such as amitriptyline, nortriptyline), beta blockers (e.g., propranolol), methyldopa, mecamylamine, reserpine, cimetidine, bromocriptine, guanethidine, guanadrel. medications that cause drowsiness such as: medicine since sleep (e.g., sedatives), tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, or tricyclics such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine). check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products, or diet aids) because they can contain ingredients which may cause drowsiness, or increases in your blood pressure or heart rate. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Protuss D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: extreme tiredness, deep sleep, slowed breathing, fast/irregular heartbeat, cold or clammy skin, loss of consciousness.
Protuss D special notes: If you're symptoms don't improve within 7 days or if you develop a high fever or persistent headache, notify your doctor promptly. do not share it drug with others.
If you missed Protuss D dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near the time about next dose, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Protuss D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom. Keep every medicines away from children & pets.
