Glyquin Usage: Hydroquinone is used to lighten the dark-colored patches of skin (also called melasma, liver spots, age spots, freckles) caused by pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone medicine, or injury to the skin. this product also contains sunscreens to help prevent these spots from re-occurring due to sunlight or ultraviolet light exposure. it medicine works by blocking the chemical process (enzymes) in skin that leads to discoloration.
How to use Glyquin: Before using, apply very small amount of this medicine to an area about unbroken skin and cash area within 24 hours for any serious side effects (see Side Effects section). If any serious side effects occur, don't use this drug. Contact your doctor. Apply this drug to affected areas of skin usually 2 times daily; or as directed by youre doctor. this medication is for use on skin only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Use this product only on affected areas as directed. Its not recommended to be used on unaffected skin as sunscreen.
Glyquin side effects: Minor skin redness or mild burning sensation may occur. If this effect persists or worsens, notify your healthcare professional. If you notice any of following unlikely but serious side effects, stop using hydroquinone and consult your healthcare professional immediately: itching, blisters, swelling, gradual blue-black darkening about the skin (ochronosis). An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.
Glyquin Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history, especially of: other skin conditions (e.g., eczema, psoriasis), any allergies (especially to sulfites or sunscreens, certain brands of this medication contain sulfites). this medication may make the treated areas of skin more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, use sunscreen, and wear protective clothing on the treated areas of skin when outdoors. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre pharmacist. It's not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Glyquin tablet interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: another skin products. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Glyquin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Glyquin special notes: don't share this medication with others.
If you missed Glyquin dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near the time of following dose, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Glyquin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
