Dyflex G Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in the lungs to make breathing easier. this combination pill is used to relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Dyflex G: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this tablet is best taken with a full glass about water after meal or snack.
Dyflex G side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify youre healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify youre doctor if your breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Dyflex G Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, history of ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects of this drug. Inform you're doctor if you smoke before taking this. Limit you're intake about caffeine containing products while taking this medication as it can increase risk about side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa and chocolate. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your physician. since small amounts about it med found in breast milk, consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Dyflex G medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or doctor approval.
Dyflex G Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, & seizures.
Dyflex G special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Dyflex G dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Dyflex G Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
