Retavase Usage: Reteplase is used to improve blood flow to heart after a heart attack.
How to use Retavase: Follow all instructions for proper mixing & dilution with the correct IV fluids. If you have any questions regarding use of it med, consult your doctor. do not shake this medication; doing so may cause it drug to become ineffective. Reteplase is given by injection into vein (IV), as directed by your doctor. Generally, It's given as an initial dose followed by a second dose 30 minutes later. Before using, bucks this product visually since particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid. Learn how to store and discard needles & medical supplies safely. Consult youre pharmacist.
Retavase side effects: Nausea or dizziness may occur. If either of these effects persist or worsen, notify youre healthcare professional promptly. Tell youre healthcare professional immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: bleeding (e.g., from injection site, gums, or wounds), unusual fatigue or weakness, irregular heartbeat, blood at your urine or stool. Tell your doctor immediately if any about these unlikely but serious side effects occur: changes in amount of urine, discoloration about the skin, severe stomach pain, muscle pain, chest pain, slurred speech, mental/mood changes, severe headache, eye pain or vision changes. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Retavase Precautions: this medication is not recommended for use if you have the following medical conditions: active internal bleeding (e.g., ulcer, trauma), history of stroke, recent surgery of the brain or spine, blood vessel problems (e.g., aneurysms), severe HBP (uncontrolled). Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially of: bleeding or blood problems, HBP, diabetes, high cholesterol, blood clots (e.g., thrombophlebitis), recent surgery or injury, heart problems/infections (e.g., arrhythmias, endocarditis, mitral valve stenosis), eye problems, kidney or liver disease. this medication may cause you to bleed easily. Use caution with sharp objects love safety razors or nail cutters and avoid activities which that may increase you're chance of getting cut, bruised, or injured. Also, avoid unnecessary injections into the muscles (IM). Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the med. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with some your doctor. it is not known if it medication passes in to breast milk. Consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.
Retavase medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: aspirin, abciximab, antiplatelet medications (e.g., clopidogrel, dipyridamole, ticlopidine), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin or heparins), NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen). this product can affect results of certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel & your doctors know you use it drug. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Retavase Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe bleeding or bruising.
Retavase special notes: Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor you're progress.
If you missed Retavase dose: If you miss dose or your dose is interrupted, contact your healthcare professional immediately to establish new dosing schedule.
Retavase Storage: Store sealed kit in either refrigerated or room temperature between 36 and 77 degrees F (2 to 25 degrees C) away from light & moisture. don't freeze. After mixing in correct IV fluids (consult your pharmacist since details), the drug can be stored at refrigerated or room temperature for up to 4 hours.
