Penicillin V Potassium Usage: Penicillins are antibiotics used to treat a wide variety about bacterial infections.

How to use Penicillin V Potassium: this pill may be taken with-out regard to meals. However, absorption is best if medication is taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 to 3 hours after meals). Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Do this by taking the drug at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. Continue to take this med until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in relapse about the infection.

Penicillin V Potassium side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, & vomiting during first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. Notify your physician immediately if an allergic reaction occurs while taking this medication. Symptoms include: difficulty breathing, skin rash, hives, itching. Use about this drug since prolonged or repeated periods may result at a secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal yeast infection).
