    Guaifenesin & guaifenesin w/pseudoephedrine kit - oral

    Syn RX Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & chest congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that relieves nasal congestion. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant that relieves dry, hacking coughs. this combination of medicines is used to treat symptoms due to colds, allergies, or certain upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, sinusitis).

    How to use Syn RX: Take it medication by mouth with full glass of water usually every 12 hours or as directed by your healthcare professional. this pill should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew tablets. this kit comes with different colored morning doses & evening doses. Ask your physician or pharmacist how to use this medication correctly and follow every instructions carefully. do not increase your dose, take this more frequently, nor take it for longer periods of time than prescribed. If stomach upset occurs, you may take it with food or milk. this is recommended you drink plenty of clear fluids (water preferred; 6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.

    Syn RX side effects: Nausea, headache, loss about appetite, nervousness, or dizziness, or rash may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen notify youre healthcare professional or physician promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop any of these serious side effects: blurred vision, unusually quick heartbeat, difficulty urinating (men only), trouble sleeping. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop any about these unlikely but serious side effects: chest pain, irregular heartbeat, mental/mood changes, convulsions. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

    Syn RX Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, glaucoma, thyroid problems, enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially to other cough-and-cold products). Because this medication may make you dizzy, use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to effects of it product. Use cautiously. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. pseudoephedrine in this combination product passes into breast milk & may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Therefore, this product isn't recommended since use by nursing mothers.

    Syn RX drug interactions: Tell your doctor about all prescription & nonprescription medications you may use, especially: beta-blockers (e.g., metoprolol, propranolol), digoxin, stimulant pills (e.g., dextroamphetamine, methylphenidate), certain other high blood pressure medicine (e.g., guanethidine, methyldopa, reserpine), cough-and-cold products, certain medications used for depression (e.g., tricyclic antidepressants). do not use this medication if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline) within the last 14 days. guaifenesin in this product may interfere with certain laboratory tests (e.g., uric acid). don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Syn RX Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include severe nausea and vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, seizures, or mental confusion.

    Syn RX special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Syn RX dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of next dose, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Syn RX Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. Keep out of reach of children.
