Irritant or stimulant laxatives - oral
Senexon Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives are used to treat constipation & to clear intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Senexon: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoroughly. tablets to be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives shouldn't be used at persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Senexon side effects: this medication may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your physician if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. this medication can cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. this isn't harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or healthcare professional.
Senexon Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. Consult youre healthcare professional before using any drug while breast-feeding.
Senexon tablet interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption about some medications, It's important to tell some your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take. Avoid use about dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl tablets. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Senexon Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Senexon special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to six eight ounce glasses a day), increase some your intake of fiber & roughage and exercise regularly.
If you missed Senexon dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Senexon Storage: Different brands of this medication may have different storage requirements. Refer to package labeling or ask your pharmacist for specific storage requirements for brand you using.
