Penicillin V Potassium Usage: Penicillin is an antibiotic used to treat wide variety of bacterial infections.
How to use Penicillin V Potassium: this medication may be taken with out regard to meals. However, absorption is best if the drug is taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or two to 3 hours after meals). Shake liquid well before using. Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine in youre body is kept at a constant level. Do this by taking the med at evenly spaced intervals throughout day and night. Continue to take this medication until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a several days. Stopping medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of infection.
Penicillin V Potassium side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, & vomiting during first few days as your body adjusts to drug.
