Guaifenesin with hydrocodone - oral

Vitussin Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever in low-dose which suppresses cough. it combination pill is used to treat cough & symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Vitussin: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.
Vitussin side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to pill. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, mental confusion, hallucinations, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Vitussin Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, emotional problems, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially drug allergies). Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication causes you to feel drowsy. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this med found in breast milk, consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Vitussin drug interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional of all over-the-counter & prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, cimetidine. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it medication. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Vitussin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss about consciousness, cold and clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.
Vitussin special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Vitussin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Vitussin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
