Senalax Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives used to treat constipation & to clear the intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Senalax: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking it pill. Chewable meds are to be chewed thoroughly. tablets are to be swallowed whole with full glass of water. Wafers to be chewed. Laxatives must not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Senalax side effects: it medication may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. this drug can cause urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. it is not harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Senalax Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist you're medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. Consult your doctor before using any drug while breast-feeding.
Senalax drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption of few medications, it is important to tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take. Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl tablets. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Senalax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Senalax special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses a day), increase your intake about fiber & roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Senalax dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Senalax Storage: Different brands about this drug may have different storage requirements. Refer to the package labeling or ask some your pharmacist for specific storage requirements for the brand you are using.
