Hydro Tussin Dhc Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. the antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & another respiratory illnesses.

How to use Hydro Tussin Dhc: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more many times than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.

Hydro Tussin Dhc side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur first few days as your body adjusts to the med. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

Hydro Tussin Dhc Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history about tablet dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it med causes you to feel drowsy. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your doctor promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. for small amounts about it med are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Hydro Tussin Dhc drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure meds, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain drug (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this med. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Hydro Tussin Dhc Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or quick heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.

Hydro Tussin Dhc special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Hydro Tussin Dhc dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Hydro Tussin Dhc Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
