Respigam Usage: this medication is used to prevent lung infection caused by virus (RSV) in infants & children at risk.
How to use Respigam: it medication is administered by vein (IV), once month during RSV season (generally November through April). do not shake vial. Avoid foaming about liquid. the dose is based on weight. Follow every instructions for proper administration. Consult your pharmacist. check visually for particles or discoloration before use. If present, do not use the liquid.
Respigam side effects: Fever, nausea/vomiting, & pain/redness at the injection site may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Unlikely but report promptly: fast or irregular pulse, swelling, abdominal pain, diarrhea, flushing, muscle/joint pain. Very unlikely but report promptly: changes in skin appearance, severe headache, unusual drowsiness, change in amount of urine, eye pain, vision changes, muscle stiffness. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.
Respigam Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, including: allergies, immune system problems (such as IgA deficiency), swelling (fluid retention/edema), heart disease, kidney disease, lung disease. Though highly unlikely to occur, because this product is made from poeple plasma, Its possible this may contain substances that could cause infections. Notify your healthcare professional immediately if you develop early signs about an infection such as persistent sore throat or fever, yellowing eyes or skin, or dark urine. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. It's not known whether this medication is excreted in to breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.
Respigam drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially about: vaccines (live virus type). do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.
Respigam Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include swelling.
Respigam special notes: do not share this drug with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor for side effects or response to treatment.
If you missed Respigam dose: If the dose is missed, contact your doctor immediately to establish a new dosing schedule.
Respigam Storage: Store in refrigerator between 35. 6 & 46.4 degrees F (2 - 8 degrees C) away from light & moisture. don't freeze. After puncturing the vial, begin administration about product within 6 hours and complete administration within 12 hours. Discard any unused portion of the vial.
