    Neomycin/colistin/hydrocortisone - otic

    Coly Mycin S Usage: this drug is used to treat certain infections of outer ear.

    How to use Coly Mycin S: for best effects, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Stopping this drug too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result in a reinfection. don't use this med more often or continue to use it for longer than directed. Apply ear drops to affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or let this touch your ear. If medication has been refrigerated, hold the bottle in your hand for a few minutes to warm it. If the drops are a suspension (not solution) shake well for 10 seconds before using. Lie on youre side or tilt affected ear up. Place dropper directly over the ear and administer prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll into ear, in adults, hold the earlobe up & back & in kid, hold earlobe down and back. Keep head tilted for about two minutes or insert a soft cotton plug if directed to do so. do not rinse dropper.

    Coly Mycin S side effects: it medication may temporarily sting or burn your ear for a minute or two when applied. If it continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify youre pharmacist immediately if you develop: a skin rash, itching/burning/redness/swelling/pain in or around the ears. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    Coly Mycin S Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: other infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with some your doctor.

    Coly Mycin S medication interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

    Coly Mycin S Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Coly Mycin S special notes: If condition since which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, consult you're physician.

    If you missed Coly Mycin S dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near the clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Coly Mycin S Storage: this may be stored in refrigerator or at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Discard this if suspension changes color or large particles form & fail to disperse when shaken.
