Monistat 1 Usage: this drug is an antifungal used to treat certain vaginal infections.

How to use Monistat 1: this medication is for vaginal use only & is usually given as single dose. Open applicator just prior to use. Insert applicator high in to vagina (unless you are pregnant) and press plunger to release medication. Discard applicator. Use sanitary napkin/minipad to prevent staining clothing. don't use tampon. detailed instruction sheet must be provided with the medication. Review instructions and be sure to ask your healthcare professional or doctor should you have any questions.

Monistat 1 side effects: this pill may cause vaginal itching, burning, irritation or pain or painful urination. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, contact your doctor. Notify some your physician if you develop: skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

Monistat 1 Precautions: Tell youre physician you're medical history, including: use about latex diaphragms or condoms, any allergies. the ointment base of this drug can weaken latex. Therefore, don't use latex condoms or diaphragms for 3 days after using it med. Avoid vaginal sexual intercourse when using this medication. this pill should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with some your doctor. it is unknown if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

Monistat 1 med interactions: Tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may use. Avoid use of vaginal douches while using this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Monistat 1 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Monistat 1 special notes: it drug is not contraceptive agent. don't share this drug with others.

If you missed Monistat 1 dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered.

Monistat 1 Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light.
