    Pyridoxine - oral

    (pirr-ih-dox-een)

    common brand names: Nestrex, Neuro-K, Rodex TD, Vitamin B-6

    B 6 Usage: Pyridoxine is used to treat or prevent pyridoxine deficiency.

    How to use B 6: Take this medication as directed. Follow any special dietary recommendations made by you're doctor or nutritionist.

    B 6 side effects: it tablet may cause tingling of the fingers or toes, reduced touch sensations, clumsiness or drowsiness. Consult your pharmacist if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or physician.

    B 6 Precautions: If you have any health problems, consult your doctor before using this medication. this drug has been found safe during pregnancy when used in recommended doses. Pyridoxine is excreted in to breast milk and may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    B 6 drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription meds you may use, especially: levodopa, oral contraceptives, phenobarbital, phenytoin, cycloserine, hydralazine, isoniazid, penicillamine, multivitamins. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.

    B 6 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include tremors, sluggishness, loss of coordination, and seizures.

    B 6 special notes: Pyridoxine is common in foods such as beans, oats, whole wheat products, nuts, unmilled rice, eggs, chicken, liver, kidney & pork. Eat more of these foods to increase the amount about pyridoxine in youre diet.

    If you missed B six dose: Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if this is almost clock since following dose. If It's time for next dose, skip the missed dose & resume youre regular schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    B 6 Storage: Store at room temperature & keep away from moisture and sunlight. do not store at the bathroom.
