Decongestant/antihistamine/anticholinergic - oral

Ah Chew Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat & itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have a drying effect on mucous secretions. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Ah Chew: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Long-acting pills & capsules should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew them or long action may be destroyed and chance of side effects increased.

Ah Chew side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose & eyes may occur first several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

Ah Chew Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. it drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. since small amounts of this tablet are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Ah Chew medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: medication for blood pressure, med for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell some your pharmacist if you take medications that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety tablets (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or doctor approval.

Ah Chew Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, quick breathing, fever, hot dry & flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

Ah Chew special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Ah Chew dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Ah Chew Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
