Agrylin Usage: it medication is used to treat a blood disorder (high platelet count) which may cause blood clots to form. the drug reduces the number about platelets in bloodstream.
How to use Agrylin: it medication is taken by mouth two or 4 times daily for at least one week. dosage is then adjusted to an effective dose, keeping your blood counts closer to normal. Dosage shouldnot exceed 10 mg daily. Generally, blood counts begin to respond within 2 weeks.
Agrylin side effects: Headache, diarrhea, unusual weakness, nausea, dizziness may occur. If these persist or worsen, notify your pharmacist. Notify your physician promptly if you develop: shortness of breath, swelling, stomach or chest pain, rash, itching, tingling sensations. Unlikely but report promptly: irregular or fast heartbeat, one-sided muscle weakness in arms or legs, black stools, fainting, mental changes, vision problems, unusual bleeding or bruising, pink-colored urine. Very unlikely but report promptly: unusual change in amount about urine. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Agrylin Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: allergies (especially drug allergies), heart problems, kidney problems, liver problems. Limit alcohol intake, as it may aggravate side effects. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're doctor. it isnot known whether it medication is excreted into breast milk. It's recommended to discontinue drug or not breast feed, taking into account the risk to infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Agrylin tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of every nonprescription & prescription tablet you may use, especially about: sucralfate. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or doctor approval.
Agrylin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusual bleeding & bruising.
Agrylin special notes: do not share it med with others. Lab tests will be done to monitor the effectiveness & possible side effects of this drug.
If you missed Agrylin dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near time of the next dose, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Agrylin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 77 degrees F (15-25 degrees C) away from sunlight and moisture.
