Irritant or stimulant laxatives - oral
Agoral Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives are used to treat constipation & to clear the intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Agoral: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug. Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoroughly. meds to be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Agoral side effects: it medication can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your physician if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. this medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. don't be alarmed. it isnot harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use about laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Agoral Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil isn't recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. Consult your doctor before using any medication while breast-feeding.
Agoral drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption of some drugs, Its important to tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl tablets. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Agoral Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Agoral special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, It's important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses day), increase your intake of fiber and roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Agoral dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take this if It's near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
