Hi Cal Usage: Calcium supplements are used to ensure an adequate intake of calcium during important periods about bone growth such as in childhood, during pregnancy & while breast-feeding. at adults, calcium is used to prevent osteoporosis (deterioration about bone).
How to use Hi Cal: Take with large glass of water during or after meal. Use as directed. If you are using a chewable product, it must be chewed well before swallowing. If you are using an effervescent pill, it must be dissolved in glass about cold water or juice before taking it. Allow the tablet to stop fizzing before drinking. Drink liquid slowly. Because calcium can interfere with absorption of other drugs, do not take another tablets within two hours of taking calcium.
Hi Cal side effects: Calcium is generally well tolerated. High levels of calcium can cause several adverse effects. Notify your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, loss about appetite, constipation, stomach pain, thirst, dry mouth, increased urination. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.
Hi Cal Precautions: If you have any of the next health problems, consult your doctor before using this med: diarrhea, stomach trouble, parathyroid disease, lung disease (sarcoidosis), kidney stones. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using it medication. few forms of calcium are known to be excreted into breast milk. Though their have been no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Hi Cal pill interactions: Tell your doctor about every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: vitamins, tetracycline, quinolone antibiotics (e.g. ciprofloxacin), gallium nitrate, cellulose sodium phosphate, etidronate, magnesium sulfate, phenytoin. do not eat large amounts about bran or whole grain cereals & breads. They may reduce absorption of calcium. Also, consuming alcohol, large amounts of caffeine, and tobacco smoking may affect absorption about calcium. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Hi Cal Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include severe nausea & vomiting, weakness, or constipation.
Hi Cal special notes: Foods rich in calcium include: dairy products and leafy green vegetables such as broccoli, kale, & collards. see for foods fortified with calcium such as orange juice & flour. theyre is no difference between calcium products derived from natural or synthetic sources.
If you missed Hi Cal dose: Take the missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost time for following dose. If It's time for following dose, skip the missed dose and resume youre regular schedule. do not double dose.
Hi Cal Storage: Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze the liquid forms.
