Aspirin/dipyridamole er - oral

Warning: child and teenagers should not use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related drugs for flu symptoms or chickenpox with-out first consulting doctor. a rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.
Aggrenox Usage: this med is used to prevent stroke.
How to use Aggrenox: Take it drug by mouth, generally one capsule 2 times a day, in the morning & in evening, or as directed by your pharmacist. Swallow capsule whole. don't crush or chew capsule. Take this drug with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless your physician directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. it capsule is not interchangeable with doses of aspirin and dipyridamole given as separate pills. Consult your physician for more info.
Aggrenox side effects: Nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset or drowsiness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these very unlikely, but serious side effects occur: hearing changes, ringing in the ears, severe headache, mental/mood changes, unusual weakness, slurred speech, vision problems, black/bloody stools, easy bleeding or bruising, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, chest pain, change in amount about urine, fast/slow or irregular pulse. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immeditial doctor attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.
Aggrenox Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, including: any allergies - especially to dipyridamole or aspirin/NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib), liver problems, kidney problems, asthma, growths in the nose (nasal polyps), chronic runny nose (rhinitis), blood or bleeding disorders (e.g., vitamin K deficiency), hypotension (hypotension), heart problems (e.g., angina, heart failure or heart attack), stroke or brain bleed, alcohol dependence, ulcers. this medication may make you drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol intake because it can intensify drowsiness effect about this medication. this medicine can cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. the amount of aspirin in this medication may not be effective for prevention of heart attack. If you require aspirin to prevent heart attack, consult some your pharmacist or pharmacist for more info. this drug contains aspirin. child and teenagers must not take aspirin if they have chickenpox, influenza or any undiagnosed illness without 1st consulting a doctor about Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly for they may be more sensitive to the effects of this drug. this med should be used only when clearly needed during the 1st 6 months about pregnancy. this medication isn't recommended for use during last three months about pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your healthcare professional. aspirin and dipyridamole at this drug may pass into breast milk. Consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Aggrenox drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, ketoprofen, naproxen), ACE inhibitors (e.g., enalapril, lisinopril), angiotensin blockers (e.g., losartan), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin, heparins), beta-blockers (e.g., atenolol, metoprolol), 'water pills' (e.g. furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), diabetes drugs (e.g., glipizide, glyburide), gout medications (e.g., probenecid, sulfinpyrazone), cholinesterase inhibitors (e.g., edrophonium, physostigmine), HBP medicines, aspirin, adenosine, acetazolamide, phenytoin, valproic acid, methotrexate. check the label on all your pain relievers/fever reducers because they can contain aspirin or NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, ketoprofen, naproxen). Ask your pharmacist of safe use of those products. Also report any drugs that cause drowsiness, such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety medications, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines, anti- seizure drugs, muscle relaxants, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine). money labels on all you're medicines (e.g., cough-and- cold products) because they can contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products. the aspirin in this product can affect results of certain laboratory tests. Make sure laboratory personnel & your doctors know you use this drug. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Aggrenox Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include ringing in ears, flushing, sweating, restlessness, weakness, dizziness & fast heartbeat.
Aggrenox special notes: do not share it medication with others.
If you missed Aggrenox dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as you remember. If this is near the time of the following dose, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Aggrenox Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
