Respa DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat a cough associated with common cold, allergies and another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Respa DM: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.
Respa DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1-st some days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify youre healthcare professional if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if it medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.
Respa DM Precautions: Tell some your doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts of it medication found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Respa DM drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.
Respa DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Respa DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this pill. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Respa DM dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Respa DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
