Warning: Breathing problems (apnea) have occurred at infants with heart defects that were treated with alprostadil. Apnea is most often seen at infants who weigh less than three lbs (2kg). Apnea usually appears during first hour that med is being given. Therefore, infants should be closely monitored in an appropriate setting during treatment with it medication.
