Medi Tussin Cough & Cold Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. it combination medication is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Medi Tussin Cough & Cold: this medication is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting pills and capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.
Medi Tussin Cough & Cold side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Medi Tussin Cough & Cold Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any medication allergies. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this pill must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it med. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Medi Tussin Cough & Cold Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements about eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Medi Tussin Cough & Cold special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Medi Tussin Cough & Cold dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near clock since the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Medi Tussin Cough & Cold Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in the bathroom.
