Glucossin DM Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant used to relieve a dry, hacking cough.
How to use Glucossin DM: Take this med by mouth as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.
Glucossin DM side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach ache may occur first few days as your body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, nervousness, confusion. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Glucossin DM Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: lung problems (e.g., asthma, emphysema), allergies (especially drug allergies). this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Glucossin DM medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you use, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Glucossin DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Glucossin DM special notes: If cough worsens, last for longer than one week or is accompanied by a high fever, notify your healthcare professional.
If you missed Glucossin DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if Its near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Glucossin DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
