Colocort Usage: this drug reduces inflammation in bowel. It's used in treatment about ulcerative colitis.
How to use Colocort: it is an enema which is administered rectally. it is usually used once at evening. for best results, use after a bowel movement. Lie on some your left side with left knee bent toward chest. Shake enema then unwrap it & gently insert nozzle in to rectum. Firmly squeeze the bottle to release all about drug. whole bottle should be used unless otherwise directed. Continue laying on your left side for at least 30 minutes. Keep medicine in your rectum as long as possible before having bowel movement. Use this med as directed. do not use it more often or continue using it for longer then prescribed. do not stop using this drug without you're doctor's approval. If you have been using this for over a several weeks, some your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
Colocort side effects: Local pain or irritation, indigestion or increased appetite may occur. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: rectal bleeding, muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat, swelling of the feet or hands, fatigue, mood changes. this drug can slow the growth process at children if used for long periods. Discuss this with your doctor. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness, vision changes. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.
Colocort Precautions: Tell your physician if you have a history about: kidney disease, heart or muscle disease, diabetes, infections, any eye problems, stomach disorders, any allergies. Tell some your pharmacist you are using it medication prior to receiving any vaccinations. Though very unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for kid and for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of it med. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist for more details. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. this is not known if it tablet is excreted into breast milk. Consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.
Colocort drug interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take especially: medications for diabetes, heart medication, blood pressure pills, steroids. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Colocort Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Colocort special notes: Follow-up appointments are important to ensure effective therapy. Keep every doctor's appointments. Inform all your pharmacists you use, or have used, it medication.
If you missed Colocort dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Colocort Storage: Store this drug at room temperature away from heat and light.
