    Carbamide peroxide - otic

    (kar-buh-mide purr-ox-ide)

    common brand names: Auro, Debrox, Murine Earwax Drops

    Mollifene Usage: this medication is used to treat earwax buildup by softening, loosening, & removing the earwax.

    How to use Mollifene: Apply this medication into ear, usually 2 times daily, or as directed by your physician. do not use this medication for more than 4 days. for accuracy & to avoid contamination, have another human insert drops if possible. To apply ear drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip or let this touch your ear or any other surface. Lie on your side or tilt affected ear upward. Place the dropper directly over ear & instill the recommended, or prescribed amount about drops. To help drops roll into the ear (for adults) hold earlobe up and back or (for children) hold the earlobe down and back. Keep head tilted for of two minutes or insert a soft cotton plug if so directed. If there is any wax remaining after treatment this may be removed by gently rinsing ear with warm water or using a soft rubber bulb ear syringe. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist of the safe use of an ear syringe. do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after use.

    Mollifene side effects: Ear drainage, ear pain, irritation or rash in the ear, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. it medication may cause crackling sound in ears. this harmless effect is temporary & due to medicine foaming & loosening earwax. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

    Mollifene Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies, other ear problems (e.g., perforated or 'broken eardrum', ear infections/injuries/surgeries). Tell your physician if you pregnant before using this drug. it is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

    Mollifene drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: other ear medications. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

    Mollifene Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Mollifene special notes: do not share this drug with others.

    If you missed Mollifene dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near time of the following dose, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Mollifene Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 & 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from direct sunlight & excessive heat.
