Neomycin Polymyxin HC Usage: this medication is used to treat certain infections about outer ear.
How to use Neomycin Polymyxin HC: for best effects, this medication should be used as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Stopping it drug too soon may not clear infection & could possibly result in a reinfection. do not use this medication more often or continue to use it since longer then directed. Apply ear drops to affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper tip or let this touch you're ear. If the med has been refrigerated, hold the bottle in your hand for few minutes to warm this. Shake the container well for 10 seconds before using. Lie on your side or tilt affected ear up. Place dropper directly over ear & administer the prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll in to ear, at adults, hold the earlobe up & back & in child, hold earlobe down and back. Keep head tilted for about two minutes or insert a soft cotton plug if directed to do so. do not rinse dropper.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC side effects: this med may temporarily sting or burn your ear for minute or 2 when applied. If it continues or becomes bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching/burning/redness/swelling/pain in or around the ears. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: other infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're physician. Although unlikely, absorption in to the body of hydrocortisone at this product may occur during topical application. Therefore, consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC tablet interactions: Tell youre pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC special notes: If condition for which it was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a several days, consult youre doctor.
If you missed Neomycin Polymyxin HC dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Neomycin Polymyxin HC Storage: this may be stored at refrigerator or in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light.
