Su Tuss HD Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. this combination drug is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Su Tuss HD: this drug is best taken with, or after, a meal or snack. Take this drug as prescribed. don't increase youre dose or take this more much times than directed.
Su Tuss HD side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to tablet. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or doctor.
Su Tuss HD Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history about medication dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. at least one of ingredients at this combination product is known to be excreted into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Su Tuss HD med interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure meds, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Su Tuss HD Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Su Tuss HD special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Su Tuss HD dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Su Tuss HD Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store at bathroom.
