    Aspirin - oral

    Warning: children & teenagers shouldnot use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related tablets for flu symptoms or chickenpox with out first consulting doctor. a rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.

    Lo Dose Aspirin Usage: Aspirin is used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever, to reduce inflammation & swelling in conditions such as arthritis & is used in low doses as a 'blood thinner' to prevent the formation of blood clots. It's effective at reducing risk about stroke & offers protective effect against heart attacks in men with chest pain.

    How to use Lo Dose Aspirin: Take by mouth with food or after meals to prevent stomach upset. Take this medication with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your physician directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. Sustained release, long acting or enteric-coated preparations must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity may be destroyed and side effects increased.

    Lo Dose Aspirin side effects: Stomach upset is most common side effect. Others include heartburn, loss of appetite or dizziness. Notify your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop: persistent ringing in ears, difficulty hearing, dark urine, yellowing eyes, simple bruising, persistent stomach pain, black stools. in the unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Lo Dose Aspirin Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult some your pharmacist before using aspirin: liver disease, kidney disease, bleeding disorders, ulcers, stomach/intestinal problems, nasal polyps, gout, asthma, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). children & teenagers must not take aspirin if they have chickenpox, influenza or any undiagnosed illness without first consulting doctor about Reye's syndrome, rare but serious illness. If you have congestive heart failure or on sodium- restricted diet, don't take effervescent aspirin pills or powders because they high in sodium. If you have had oral surgery or some your tonsils removed in the last seven days, don't use chewable aspirin tablets, effervescent aspirin or aspirin in crushed tablets or gargles. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use about alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase you're risk for stomach bleeding. cash with your doctor or physician for more information. Aspirin is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional before taking aspirin. Aspirin is excreted into breast milk. Though to date theyre have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding. Aspirin that has strong vinegar-like odor is old and must not be used.

    Lo Dose Aspirin drug interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: 'blood thinners' (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs such as warfarin, heparins, NSAIDs), acetazolamide, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), methotrexate, drug for gout, drug since diabetes. If you have diabetes, regular high-dose use of aspirin may affect test results for urine sugar. Aspirin is an ingredient at many over-the-counter products. To prevent an overdose about aspirin, read the labels carefully before taking other pain relievers or cold products to be sure they do not contain aspirin. Consult some your pharmacist if you uncertain your over-the-counter goods contain aspirin. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Lo Dose Aspirin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, burning pain in throat & stomach, loss of appetite, fever, tremors, confusion, headache, dizziness, weakness, ringing in ears, quick or slow breathing, agitation, constipation, seizures, fainting, or unconsciousness.

    Lo Dose Aspirin special notes: their are many different dosage forms for aspirin products. some have special coatings or contain buffers & some long acting. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist for recommendations on best product for you.

    If you missed Lo Dose Aspirin dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Lo Dose Aspirin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
