Guaifenesin/decongestant/narcotic antitussive liquid - oral
Suttar Sf Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. this combination drug is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Suttar Sf: this medication is best taken with, or after, a meal or snack. Take this med as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.
Suttar Sf side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the pill. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify youre pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.
Suttar Sf Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history about medication dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it pill causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. it product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. at least one of the ingredients in this combination product is known to be excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Suttar Sf medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take, including: blood pressure meds, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Suttar Sf Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Suttar Sf special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it med. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Suttar Sf dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Suttar Sf Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom.
