Dicarbosil Usage: it medication is an antacid used to relieve upset stomach, heartburn or gas caused by stomach acid.
How to use Dicarbosil: Take it by mouth as directed. Chew thoroughly & swallow. don't swallow pills whole. Follow each dose with full glass about water. do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed. If you feel your dose isn't effective, consult your pharmacist.
Dicarbosil side effects: this medication is generally well tolerated. Constipation or stomach cramps may occur. Notify you're doctor if they continue or become severe. Tell you're pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Dicarbosil Precautions: Before taking it, tell your healthcare professional if you have: kidney disease, any allergies. Avoid taking more doses than recommended. this medication is considered safe for use during pregnancy or breast-feeding when used as directed.
Dicarbosil pill interactions: Tell youre physician of any nonprescription or prescription pill you may take including: certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines, quinolones), demeclocycline, methacycline, verapamil (a calcium channel blocker), quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, iron-containing products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Dicarbosil Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss about appetite, tiredness, & weakness.
Dicarbosil special notes: there are various forms of this medication available. the chewable pills offer convenience but the liquid form is faster acting. chat to your health care provider or doctor about the best product for you. If your condition does not improve or worsens, contact you're physician or pharmacist. If your stools become dark in color or you vomit what looks like coffee grounds, contact your doctor as these may be signs of stomach bleeding
If you missed Dicarbosil dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered do not take it if it is near clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Dicarbosil Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not store in the bathroom.
