Trituss Er Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Trituss Er: this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & the chance about side effects will be increased. Take this drug as prescribed. don't increase some your dose or take it more often than directed.
Trituss Er side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Trituss Er Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any tablet allergies. money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. it med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. this medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Trituss Er drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you use, especially: drug for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it drug. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Trituss Er Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, big pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Trituss Er special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Trituss Er dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time since next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Trituss Er Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
