    Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral

    Pro Red Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. the antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Pro Red: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often then directed. this med is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.

    Pro Red side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur the 1st several days as some your body adjusts to med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

    Pro Red Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this med causes you to feel drowsy. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult some your physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts about this medication are found in breast milk, consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Pro Red medication interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.

    Pro Red Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or quick heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.

    Pro Red special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Pro Red dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Pro Red Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
