Consult you're healthcare professional if it pill is not relieving the pain sufficiently.
Hydromorphone Hydrochloride side effects: may cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea or flushing. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors, seizures. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: liver disease, lung disease, asthma, colitis or other stomach problems, severe diarrhea, history of drug dependency, drug allergies. Use caution when engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol consumption because it may add to the dizziness/drowsiness effects of this drug. Caution is advised when using this med in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of drug. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. this medication may be excreted in to breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Hydromorphone Hydrochloride drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, other narcotic pain relievers, meds for depression, phenothiazines, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. don't start or stop any medicine with out doctor or physician approval.
Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include shallow & slow breathing, very slow heartbeat, fainting, seizures, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Hydromorphone Hydrochloride special notes: To prevent constipation, increase your intake about fiber, drink plenty of water and exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. do not share it medication with others. it is against the law.
If you missed Hydromorphone Hydrochloride dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if Its almost clock for the following dose. Instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
