Duraphen Ii Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Duraphen Ii: Take this tablet by mouth. meds should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Duraphen Ii side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because it pill can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre pharmacist or pharmacist.
Duraphen Ii Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with youre doctor. it isn't known if this pill appears in breast milk; consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Duraphen Ii drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, tablet for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell youre doctor if you have, in last 2 weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or doctor approval.
Duraphen Ii Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Duraphen Ii special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Duraphen Ii dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Duraphen Ii Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
