Terazosin Usage: Terazosin relaxes & opens blood vessels. It's used to treat HBP (hypertension). in males, It's used for symptoms of prostate enlargement such as urinary hesitancy and/or urgency.
How to use Terazosin: Take it medication exactly as prescribed. Try to take it in the same time each day. Take first dose at bedtime to minimize the chances of getting dizzy or fainting. Capsules may be taken with food or milk to avoid stomach upset. It's important to continue taking this tablet even if you feel well. most people with HBP don't feel sick. do not stop taking it med with-out consulting your doctor. some conditions may become worse when medication is abruptly stopped. your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
Terazosin side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, constipation, loss about appetite, fatigue, nasal congestion or dry eyes may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: chest pain, swelling about hands or feet, ringing in the ears. Males - though It's unlikely to occur, if you get a painful, prolonged erection, stop using it medication & seek immediate medical attention. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any about these highly unlikely but serious side effects: decreased sexual ability, simple bleeding or bruising, irregular or unusually quick heartbeat. An allergic reaction to this pill is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.
Terazosin Precautions: Before taking this med, tell youre pharmacist if you have liver or kidney disease. To avoid dizziness or fainting, get up slowly from a lying or seated position; especially when you 1'st start using this drug or if you're doctor changes some your dosing. Limit your intake of alcohol and avoid getting overheated because they may increase dizziness & drowsiness effects of this drug. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
