Surfak Usage: this medication helps fluids to mix with stool to keep them from becoming hard or dry. it is used to treat constipation.
How to use Surfak: Swallow capsules and meds whole with a full glass about water or juice. liquid & syrup forms should be given in six to 8 ounces about milk or juice to prevent throat irritation. Relief is usually obtained in 1 to 3 days after first dose.
Surfak side effects: this drug may cause stomach ache, cramping or irritated throat (liquid & syrup forms). If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify youre doctor if you experience: skin rash, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use about laxatives may cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this tablet. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.
Surfak Precautions: don't take aspirin (unless prescribed by your doctor) or mineral oil while taking stool softeners. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take over-the-counter stool softeners (or any other nonprescription medication) without obtaining your doctor's advice.
Surfak drug interactions: this drug isn't recommended for use with mineral oil. Ask your pharmacist or pharmacist for more details. Tell youre doctor of every prescription & nonprescription med you may use, especially aspirin.
Surfak Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Surfak special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink 4 to six glasses of water daily, include bulk or roughage in your diet, & exercise regularly.
If you missed Surfak dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Surfak Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
