Imperim Usage: this drug is used to treat diarrhea or to reduce amount about discharge at patients who have undergone an ileostomy.
How to use Imperim: Take this medication by mouth exactly as directed. do not increase your dose or take this longer than directed with out your doctor's approval. in acute diarrhea this is usually taken for only 2 days. Treatment about chronic diarrhea may continue for up to 10 days. Notify you're healthcare professional if diarrhea does not stop after a few days. While taking it med, drink plenty about clear liquids to replace fluid loss from diarrhea and prevent dehydration.
Imperim side effects: Stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, bloating, constipation, dry mouth, drowsiness or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your healthcare professional promptly. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Tell your physician immediately if you have this unlikely but serious side effect: stomach pain. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or doctor.
Imperim Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: liver problems, ulcerative colitis, if you have recently taken antibiotics, allergies (especially med allergies). it medication may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol intake because this can intensify dizziness or drowsiness effects of this drug. Use this drug cautiously in children. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. this is not known if it drug appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Imperim med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: cholestyramine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Imperim Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, slowed breathing, drowsiness or deep sleep, and slow pulse.
Imperim special notes: it drug must not be used longer then 2 days with out notifying your physician. do not treat child under 6 years of age without doctor's approval.
If you missed Imperim dose: Take each dose as directed. If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take it if Its near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Imperim Storage: Store it medication at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom. Keep this & all drugs out about reach about children.
