Hydromorphone HCL Usage: this medication is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.

How to use Hydromorphone HCL: To prevent upset stomach, take with food or milk. Take this as prescribed. do not increase youre dose, take it more frequently or use it since a longer period about clock without your doctor's approval. When used for extended periods, this medication may not work as well & may require different dosing. Consult your doctor if tablet isn't relieving the pain sufficiently.

Hydromorphone HCL side effects: can cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, and flushing 1st few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your physician. To minimize constipation, increase your intake of fiber, drink plenty of water, and exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. Ask your pharmacist or pharmacist about stool softeners & laxatives. Notify youre physician if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors, seizures. at unlikely series you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. Hydromorphone HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.

Hydromorphone HCL special notes: do not share this med with others. it is against the law.

If you missed Hydromorphone HCL dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Hydromorphone HCL Storage: Store at room temperature away from light & moisture. do not store in the bathroom.
