Decongestant - nasal spray
Duramist PLUS Usage: this med promotes nasal drainage and relieves nasal stuffiness. It's used to relieve symptoms associated with cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections & other related conditions. this is also used to relieve plugged ears.
How to use Duramist PLUS: this tablet is used in the nose as directed. To apply nasal spray, first blow your nose to help improve penetration about the medication. Keeping you're head upright, place nasal spray just inside the nostril being careful not to touch the container to inside of nose. Squeeze the container as you inhale deeply through your nose. Sniff hard several times to be sure the medication reaches deep into nose. do not use this more often than directed or increase you're dose. Therapy usually lasts for 3 to three days. Excessive use of this medication can actually increase nasal congestion.
Duramist PLUS side effects: Stinging, burning, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, drying of the nostrils, and altered taste may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: a rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, shaking of the hands, tremors, unusual weakness. this medication can cause dizziness. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Duramist PLUS Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: heart problems, thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, seizure disorder, glaucoma, allergies (especially to sulfites). the elderly and kid may be more susceptible to effects of it medication. Use this with caution. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. since small amounts about it medication found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Duramist PLUS drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take especially of: hypertension drugs, antidepressants, cough-and-cold or allergy meds. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Duramist PLUS Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, unconsciousness, sweating, dizziness, headache, or unusually quick heartbeat.
Duramist PLUS special notes: there are various nasal decongestants available, many without prescription. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist best product for you.
If you missed Duramist PLUS dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Duramist PLUS Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom. do not share the container with anyone else. Throw away container when medication is no longer required.
